Share Quitters Unite!

Share Your Story Contest

The Share Your Story Contest is NOW OPEN! Submit your smoking-related story and get votes to win!

Want a little inspiration? Here are the winners from Round 2 and the winners from Round 1. You can check out all of the amazing stories from last year's contests in the story archives.

Quitting can be hard, but knowing you’re not alone can help.

Everyone has a smoking-related story

Whether you smoke a lot, only every once and a while, quit years ago, or have never smoked you probably have a smoking-related story to tell. Thinking about quitting for the first time? Tried quitting so many times you lost count? Lost someone you care about? Or maybe just want to tell the tobacco companies where they should shove their profits (no swearing please ;)). Whatever your story is, we want to hear it!

Share your reasons, struggles, tips

Your smoking story can be about anything related to smoking – your reasons to quit, your struggles, your successes, your tips for other quitters. You don't even have to have to smoke to have a story. Did someone you care about suffer from smoking? What would you say to the tobacco companies about the deadly product they push on millions of young Canadians every day? Pretty much anything goes! The important thing to remember is to BE CREATIVE, make your story interesting and make sure it would help persuade someone to quit or never to start.

How to enter + increase your chances of winning!

You have two ways of sharing your story: 1) in writing or 2) by uploading a video. Once your story is uploaded, share the story with your friends on Facebook and get them to vote for you. The sooner you enter, the more time you have to get votes! (Voting is limited to one vote per 24 hour period for each entry)
